Which LJV Program Is The Best Fit For Your Family?

Lakes Juniors offers three levels of training and competition:  

Regional - Season will run from Dec-Mar, practice twice a week and tournaments will be within 90 mins travel time.   There will be 8-10 tournament days, primarily single day events.  The season will end at the Badger Region Championships.

Select - "Super Regional" teams with all of the training benefits of a National team without all the travel cost!  Season will run from Dec-Apr, practice twice per week plus added positional training and approximately 14-16 tournament days featuring the Badger Region Power League (BRPL).  Most tournaments will be high level two day events and will be within a 2.5 hour travel time.  The season will end with a National level travel tournament, JVA World Challenge in Louisville, KY (if possible).  Select teams will have a Head and Asst Coach.  

National - Season will run from Dec-June, practice twice per week plus added positional training and approximately 20 tournament days including the Badger Region Power League and two or three "travel" tournaments ending at AAU Nationals in Orlando, FL.  National teams will have a Head and Asst. Coach.

• 12u - 14u Team Tryouts are July 19 & 20, 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm at Faith Christian School in Williams Bay (click on the Tryouts tab for the details).  For 2026 we are planning on forming the following teams:   Regional - 12u, 13u, 14u  Select - 14u
• 12u - 14u teams will practice twice per week, either Mon-Wed or Tue-Thu,  5:30 - 7:30 pm.  Practices will start Dec 1st.  
• 12u - 14u tournaments will start in early January and  typically be every other weekend through mid-March.  You can scroll down this page to see the 2025 Tournament Schedule.  Typically there will be 8 tournament days.  14 Select - Typically 18 tournament days - see  the Select Team information below.

• 15u - 18u Team Tryouts are July 19 & 20, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm at Faith Christian School in Williams Bay (click on the Tryouts tab for the details for each age group).  For 2026 we're planning on forming the following teams:  Regional - 15u, 16u and 17u.  Select - 15u, 16u, 17u and 18u.
• 15u - 18u teams will practice twice per week, either Mon-Wed or Tue-Thu.  15's will most likely be 5:30-7:30 pm and 16's-18's will be 7:30-9:30 pm.  Select teams will have Positional Practice every other week.  Practices will start Dec 1st.
• 15u-18u Regional teams will typically have 10 tournament days starting in early January and ending at the end of March. 
• 15u-18u Select teams will typically have 20 tournament days, featuring the Badger Region Power League and end the season at the JVA World Challenge in Louisville, KY, April 11-13.
